The Clockwork Firebird (Kitbash WIP)

Since I was unable to find a miniature of the right size to serve as a steampunk "firebird" for my "Tsarevich Ivan and the Firebird" campaign, I cobbled together something from bits on hand.  The base is a 30mm round lipped Warmachine plastic base with a clock face from a Warhammer Fantasy (Games Workshop) "Manor" building kit.  The body is built around a curved piece of wire with some epoxy putty to form the tail and basic form, while the wings are from a Mage Knight figure, and the head is a battle-standard piece (a stork head?) from Warhammer Fantasy again.  The figure is base-coated black, then brushed in bronze/copper acrylic paint, and finally dry-brushed with "Inca Gold" acrylic for highlights.

I may go back and try adding a little more color with some highlights of red and orange on the wingtips or such, but for now it's "good enough for the table top" for my Iron Kingdoms RPG (fantasy/steampunk) campaign (with themes loosely inspired by various Slavic & Russian fairy tales).
