Professor L.T. Froschmeister

Reaper Miniatures #50061, "Professor L.T. Froschmeister," from their Chronoscope line. The name of the miniature is a sort of indirect tribute to Reaper forums regular "Froggy the Great" (AKA "Spielorjh" on DeviantArt).

I painted this up without conversion, save for re-basing it on a War Cast Studios ([link]) 25mm resin "sci-fi" base. I've posed it against some of my cobbled-together modular sci-fi scenery (mostly made from broken Star Wars toys -- Micro Machines and others -- taken apart for scraps and glued down to some plastic tiles that link together).

I intend to use the miniature to represent a pre-generated hero for a Slipstream (Savage Worlds RPG) one-shot scenario, in a "Flash Gordon / Buck Rogers" retro-sci-fi universe. However, I think this figure would also work well for steampunk settings such as Deadlands Reloaded.

This miniature also serves to represent a mad scientist in the Reaper "RAGE" miniatures system setting, "Reich of the Dead" (where I suppose he must be in some way responsible for all those zombies running amok), so I should get some use out of it there, too, once I finish getting all my troops painted up.
