The Water Phoenix

My niece Haylee requested that I draw a "water phoenix," or rather, "a phoenix, but with water instead of fire."

(I made a lame joke that since last time she wanted me to draw her a River Dragon, then perhaps this time it's a ... River Phoenix! Cue cricket chirps. I really should know better than to make a joke like that; nobody got it. I feel so old!)

Anyway, here is what I came up with, drawing upon the look of a heron for inspiration, and portraying it as some sort of elemental bird of water.
