Reaper #80008 - Rosie, Chronotechnician

Description

Plastic 32mm-scale gaming miniature from Reaper Miniatures ( www.reapermini.com ) painted with acrylic paints and slightly modified with wire.

This is Reaper Miniatures #80008 "Rosie the Chronotechnician."  The original pewter version had a choice of either a rifle or over-sized wrench that could be placed in the otherwise open hand, but for the plastic version it just has the rifle there automatically.  I didn't care for the pose, as having such a large, clunky rifle held upright seemed unnatural (a lightweight pistol would have been more plausible, or perhaps resting a rifle back over one's shoulder rather than pointing it straight up in the air one-handed).

I used a hobby knife to cut off the bulk of the body of the rifle, then took a section of wire to run it from the "clip" to one of the packs on Rosie's utility belt.  My idea there was to give the impression of some sort of high-tech power tool (with a power pack on the utility belt) such as a "plasma welder" or a fancy nail gun, etc.: more "technician" and less "combatant."

I envision this as being useful for various sci-fi settings, such as Interface Zero 2.0, or perhaps even the retro-futuristic Slipstream (though in that case a bubble helmet would have helped the look considerably).
