Description
Companion piece to ( jordangreywolf.deviantart.com/… ) - Frankensteed's Monster.
2" tall PVC "My Little Pony" toy ("Rarity" clone base) modified with Apoxie Sculpt two-part epoxy putty and acrylic paints, on a HeroClix base (approx. 1.5" diameter) with putty texturing. Background piece is a "Wayne Manor" Batman playset facade piece (I picked it up, incomplete, at a thrift store) modified with foamcore illustration board, insulation foam, Hirst Arts Castlemolds castings (Hydro-Stone), and acrylic paints.
I've been working on a few "classic movie monster pony" figure conversions as part of one of the game scenarios that have been bouncing around my head, as this year's Necronomicon Convention theme is "pulp / weird science." (Necronomicon 2014 -- www.stonehill.org/necro.htm -- Oct 3-5, 2014 -- Tampa, Florida -- sci-fi/fantasy/horror/gaming convention.) I've been pondering running a scenario using the Savage Worlds RPG rules ( www.peginc.com ) wherein the players take on the roles of pony-fied "movie monster" types who are defending a haunted castle / mad laboratory against a mob of rampaging torch-and-pitchfork-wielding* peasant ponies by using special "Scare Attacks" and other such strangeness -- and the castle's regular haunts and traps aren't exactly helping either side, per se.
(* No, I've no idea how ponies should be able to hold torches or pitchforks. They're ... cartoon ponies. It just happens. This wasn't meant to be a serious scenario anyway.)

I forgot to add, the game idea sounds both inspired and hilarious.
