Malifaux Rotten Belles in the Cemetery

Description

A couple of Malifaux "Rotten Belles" (Wyrd Miniatures) I picked up at the Armadillo Game Shoppe ([link]), and painted up for use in 19th-century RPG settings, such as Deadlands Reloaded or Rippers (Savage Worlds), since I don't actually play Malifaux. The bases are standard 30mm plastic slotted bases with decorative metal base inserts from Wyrd Miniatures.

The background consists of several of my "modular graveyard" terrain pieces -- assorted homemade fence sections, vaults, mausoleums, repainted figures used as "statues," and assorted constructions of Hirst Arts Castlemolds blocks, with assorted tombstones acquired as "bitz" from various sets, or made with scrap materials at hand.

The original miniatures were meant to be painted up as zombies, but I opted to paint them with regular skin tones (if a little on the pale side), so as to maintain some flexibility in usage for RPGs. That is, I could use them for some "fresh" zombies to add to my small horde of 19th-century walking-dead miniatures, or I could potentially use them for still-living ladies whose dresses have been torn a bit after some tangle with danger. The figure on the right, after all, has an expression that could just as easily represent a scream at some horror just off camera to the right, as it could represent a slack-jawed zombie moan. If I'd covered them with blood splats and given them greenish or greyish skin tones, it would've narrowed my options for what they could be passed off as for RPG miniatures purposes.
