Golden Creme Cakes Delivery Truck

Description

Homemade papercraft model truck (panels drawn in Photoshop) with a few pallets of Golden Creme Delight cakes (a fictitious snack cake), for a Savage Worlds RPG adventure by John Beattie for Beautiful Brains Books & Games ([link]). The truck was printed off here with the optional "distress" layer applied, to suggest some broken windows, beat-up panels, scuffs and scratches, etc., and is printed at 1:48 scale.

What started with a "one-sheet" adventure from John Beattie has grown into more of a module, as I came up with a map, then extended details for different locations in the old "Golden Creme" factory, and alternative encounters, and papercraft models and handouts and figure flats and character sheets with pregenerated characters ... and so on. ;D One thing led to another. What was once a "one-sheet" is now about 28 pages total, thanks to all the supplementary material. The papercraft models have layer options so that the "paint job" can be switched on or off, to give the models a little more utility beyond this one adventure. (E.g., you can leave off the paint job and get truck with plain white paneling that you can decorate yourself with markers or whatever ... OR, you can turn on the "distressed" layer to have a really beat-up truck.)

The background piece is a "Toy Story" scrap yard playset piece, repainted and in the process of being modified so I can use it for some tabletop scenery. (Since then I've applied a black acrylic wash to most of the surface, and I intend to add a few more to-scale details and signage and such.)
