Blue Rose and Butterfly

This is actually an older design I did back in 2008, when I was still going out with some artist friends to a weekly "Art Jam" that bounced between the local Panera Bread and Borders Bookstore. (I miss the Borders!) I had received an odd request to make a butterfly design for a tattoo; I found some pictures of butterflies, and made one that's kind of an amalgam of features from different butterflies, rather than representing any one actual species. (And then to make it symmetrical, I just cheated and mirror-flipped half of it to complete the image. )

I was just digging through an older external hard drive that I've used to "salvage" data off of some older computers (I have bad luck with computers going kaboom), but never properly organized yet (I have bad luck with organizing -- or, rather, I'm just too lazy to do it properly).
